I don't really enjoy taking pictures of landscape as much as I do enjoy taking photos of people or of beautiful "moments" so to speak, so aesthetically speaking, I can't guarantee that it'll fit everyone's idea of beauty, but it does of mine.
This photo was taken at from an apartment in Broadbeach in the Gold Coast, when I and my friends went on schoolies. We were on the 23rd floor, right up against the beach so we had a magnificent view from the balcony. The person in the photo is my best friend, and we were sitting around drinking coffee. When I took this photo, it was at that unusual time of day when night begins to spill across onto day. The sea and sky seemed to glow, and the lights on the buildings just began to flicker on, so I figured it would be a beautiful moment to capture. I really love it because it's a very tranquil and peaceful image, and it's very reflective of that time of day: filled with silence and contemplation.
